2. Data We Collect

We do not collect, process, store, or transmit any personal data. AstroSky is a fully offline desktop application. All FITS file loading, image processing, and rendering is performed exclusively on your local device. No data leaves your device.

Specifically, we do not collect:

• FITS files you import or process
• Rendered images or exported files
• Usage statistics or telemetry
• Device identifiers
• Name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data
• Cookies or tracking identifiers

3. Microsoft Store

AstroSky is distributed through the Microsoft Store. When you purchase or download the application through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may collect data in accordance with their own Privacy Statement. We do not receive personal data from Microsoft beyond what is necessary to verify your license (anonymous license state only).

4. Crash and Diagnostic Logs (Local Only)

The application may write diagnostic log files to your local disk (in the same directory as the executable) to assist in troubleshooting. These files are cleared on every application startup and remain on your device. They are never automatically uploaded. You may delete them at any time.

5. Children's Privacy

AstroSky does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). As we collect no data from any user, this policy applies equally to all users regardless of age.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA and UK Residents)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR:

We do not sell personal information and we do not collect personal information from users of AstroSky. There is nothing to disclose or delete.

We do not transfer personal data internationally, as we do not collect or hold any personal data.

9. Data Retention

We do not retain personal data. Diagnostic log files stored locally on your device are cleared on every application startup and can be deleted by you at any time through your operating system.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
